Honeycombs is the second in a series of single-unit sculptures.  Sheets of wood are laser-cut into thousands of pieces and fastened with brass hardware into a tapestry-like surface.  The brass pieces act like hinges, creating a variety of shapes and movements depending on how the sculpture is installed and manipulated.  This piece is part of an ongoing exploration of bringing two-dimensional geometries into three-dimensional space.
